Antoni de Moragas i Spà was born in Barcelona in 1941.
He studied in the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras and in the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura
of Barcelona. He graduated and in 1972 received a degree from COAC. In 1985 he became a doctorate architect graduate
"cumlaude" for his thesis on "Antoni Mª Gallissà". He collaborated in the Taller de Arquitectura de Ricardo Bofill in Barcelona and in the Martorell/ Bohigas / Mackay office, and in Milan, with Vittorio Gregotti studio.
Since 1972 he has been Professor of Projects in the Escola d'Arquitectura of Barcelona and from 1977 Professor of Interior Projects at the Escola de Disseny EINA.
In 1987 he earned the position of Professor of Projects for the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura of Barcelona. He was Director of the postgraduate course "Interior i Interiors" that was organized by the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña. At the present time he is responsible for a doctorate course.
He was a visiting professor at the Budapest School of Architecture, to the one inBelgrano, in Buenos Aires, He was also invited by the Asociación de Arquitectos Portugueses, and in the Universidad Meléndez Pelayo. Currently is he is a professor at the Escuela de Arquitectura "La Sapienza", in Rome.
He earned the following awards: Premio Doménech i Muntaner del Instituto de Estudios Catalanes de Arquitectura in 1986. The FAD Award of Architecture in 1987; as well as special mention in 1993 and finalist in 1982, 1987, 1994, 1996 and 2001. He won the Prize Ciutat de Barcelona d'Arquitectura in 1990.
